Services offered by the ESC 2 Career and Technology Education consultant
include:
- Office of Civil Rights (OCR) assistance to LEAs.
- Assist LEAs prepare the annual application for Carl Perkins (federal)
and state funding.
- Assist LEAs implement career guidance programs, grade 7 – 12.
- Help employers implement work-based learning and apprenticeship
programs.
- Assist LEAs integrate academic and career and technology programs.
- Promote nontraditional educational activities.
- Assist CATE programs eliminate gender bias.
- Provide assistance to the High Schools that Work programs.
- Coordinate staff development in support of CATE programs.
- Assist LEA in finding and implementing appropriate curriculum for CATE
programs.
- Assist LEAs and instructors with certification questions.
